Vinson Luong has a wealth of experience in Property, Corporate and Commercial, and Dispute Resolution. He works with businesses, start-up founders, investors and individuals in a wide range of industries, both in Australia and Vietnam. He has a particular focus on advising Visa 188 and Visa 132 investors on FIRB laws.

Prior to establishing Axegal, Vinson Luong worked at reputable national law firms in Australia, including Wotton + Kearney and Sparke Helmore Lawyers.
Vinson Luong is known for being very responsive with a strong understanding of clients’ commercial objectives. He works closely with clients to develop strategies for desired outcomes. He speaks fluent Vietnamese.
- Advising foreign investors on all aspects of FIRB laws in residential and commercial properties across all Australian states.
- Advising purchasers and vendors with purchase and sale of properties ranging from off-the-plan development projects, established dwellings, home and land package. Vinson has a particular focus on off-the-plan development projects in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and ACT.
- Advising a fintech client with equity capital raisings, share sale agreements, share structures, corporate governance arrangements, trade marks and intellectual property protection.
- Advising lessees and lessors in negotiating retail and commercial leases in NSW, Victoria and ACT.
- Providing advice and acting for individuals against legal proceedings brought by banks for payment default (Claims for possession of land).
- Providing advice and acting for a Vietnamese company in a debt recovery matter against an Australian company. Arbitration clause and contractual arrangements were the key issues.
- Advising CTP insurers in defending multi-million-dollar claims for injuries sustained in motor vehicle. When I was at Sparke Helmore, I worked in major and catastrophic personal injury matters, with a particular focus in brain injuries, spinal injuries and psychiatric conditions.
- Obtaining a favourable judgement for a Victorian company against a NSW company at NCAT.
- Acting on high profile insolvency proceedings in Australia involving Hastie Group, Arrium Group, Bruck Textiles.
- Acting for innocent third parties in defending restraining orders obtained by the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, including restraint, revocation, exclusion, compulsory examinations, asset forfeiture and pecuniary penalty orders and compensation orders.
